A year without China

It’s been amusing and a little scary to find that almost everything we brought with us from the US was not traveling to a strange country, but rather returning to the land where it was made. Even the new computer I’m typing on, which to qualify for a special price had to be shipped to a US address, was made in China. And so it made it’s journey from Shanghai to Beijing via Idaho, where my parents were kind enough to re-ship it to me.

I recently ran across a funny article about one family’s attempt to live for a year without buying anything made in China. Anyone else out there care to give it a try?
